Nova Scotia Nominee Program

Nova Scotia Nominee Program

The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) is one of many provincial nomination programs (PNPs) available for those who wants to immigrate to Canada, settle in the province of Nova Scotia and gain permanent residence status. NSNP is made possible through the cooperation of the Nova Scotia government and the national agency known as Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Although a provincial nomination is not required in order to apply for residency, a nomination strongly benefits prospective immigrants by speeding up the processing of the application and often positively affecting the residency decision. Meanwhile, it also benefits the province, supporting growth in the economic sector by helping to bring qualified, employable immigrants to the region. When an individual is «nominated» through the NSNP, they are then invited to apply for permanent residence within the province, together with their spouse or partner and any dependent children.

It is possible to apply for nomination through the NSNP based on qualification in any of a number of categories, known as streams. The following NSNP streams are currently accepting applications:

Express Entry Demand Stream
Express Entry Experience Stream
Skilled Worker Stream
Entrepreneur Stream
International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream
